Venezia Ramirez recently completed an undergraduate degree in Environmental Science. She is contributing to different projects with community partners examining lead contamination in Los Angeles, and is active in the Environmental Justice Working Group and K-12 Outreach Program for The Center for Diverse Leadership in Science. Venezia hopes to one day enter government to make sustainability more inclusive towards underrepresented communities and work to remove the environmental hazards that communities of color constantly face. She likes to be with her family, run, garden, learn, and eat chicken sandwiches.
